Quick News: Black Friday

Posted by: Mike

So, the big news this week is that WWE has had another 'Black Friday' with a slew of releases coming thick and fast, including Shad Gaspard, Luke Gallows, Caylon Croft, Vance Archer, Tiffany and Jillian Hall. None of these are massively surprising to me to be honest but let's look at them in turn....

Caylon Croft: Weirdly, this is the release I care most about! I've never even seen what the guy looks like and this bothers me. But why? Because releasing him means splitting up the Dudebusters. This means there are officially three tag teams in the whole of WWE. The Nexus (current Tag Team Champs), Santino and Kozlov (comedy jobbers) and The Usos (jobbers). I've known that tag team wrestling in WWE is dead for a while now, but every now and then I'll get my hopes up that they'll rebuild the division. Clearly that's never, ever going to happen!

Shad Gaspard: He's done nothing since Cryme Tyme split up, and was always the least talented member of Cryme Tyme. Given that JTG isn't all that great, that's really saying something... This doesn't surprise me.

Luke Gallows: Has done nothing since the Straight Edge Society split up. I always thought he could be a half decent big man, but I saw this release coming a while ago, again, I'm not surprised....

Vance Archer: Wow, that's a ridiculous name. I actually liked him when he was wrestling in TNA as Lance Hoyt, although that name isn't any less ridiculous. He's done nothing of note since they split up the Gatecrashers (are you noticing a theme here?) but I figured eventually they might push him to lower midcard stuff, or at least keep him around as a jobber. Oh well, he's no big loss as he hasn't really been relevant anywhere for years!

Tiffany: I honestly wasn't aware she was still working for WWE! I figured she was fired after beating up her husband Drew McIntyre (which is still, quite frankly hilarious) and getting arrested. No one cares about the divas, least of all me, so blahhhh...

Jillian Hall: This actually surprises me a little, as Jillian was recently removed from the Raw roster and given a backstage role, which I thought was a smart move as even if she doesn't want to wrestle, she's a decent hand and has alot to offer the business. Wonder who she pissed off backstage?

Anyway, hopefully sometime this weekend I'll get round to writing quick thoughts for this week's Smackdown, and a report of Survivor Series either Monday or Tuesday! Until then, remember...

Warrior 'Ultimate Warrior' Warrior says: A bird with hands is worth at least two bushes... But I'd hold out for three! 'Cause bushes are neat!

Don't do drugs kids. You might end up like him.
